The Daymarker tower, painted red and white built in the 17th century is an aid to navigation and is a famous landmark. Before returning by boat to St Mary’s the Anglican church is worth a visit.

Day 5: Day visiting Tresco and The Abbey Gardens
Today’s walk starts with a short boat trip to the Island of Tresco. The Island of Tresco has much to offer the walker: a ruined Abbey dating back to the 12th century, and one of the finest sub tropical gardens in England.
