The Fife Coastal Path walking holiday is an 83 mile (135 km) way-marked walking trail from the Forth River Estuary at North Queensferry to the Tay River Estuary at Newport on Tay and Dundee, via Kikcaldy, Leven, Anstruther and St Andrews.
This self guided Fife Coastal Path walking holiday on Scotland’s East Coast starts at the imposing Forth Bridge in the south and ends at the Tay Bridge in the north. The Fife Coastal Path passes through wild and spectacular natural landscapes, home to a wide variety of wildlife.
Whilst walking from village to village you experience dramatic cliffs, distinctive rock formations, long sandy beaches, picturesque fishing harbours, grassy sand dunes, seals basking in the sun and dolphins playing in the waves.

Special diets can be catered for, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free.
We organize the luggage transfer so your bags are at your next accommodation when you arrive. We try to get your bags delivered by 4pm, but this may be delayed due to road conditions.

Our offices are staffed 9am to 9pm during our walking season (March to September) to ensure your walking holiday runs without a hitch.
All our walking holidays are self-guided and you must be a confident map reader and able to navigate from a compass bearing. The weather in the UK and Ireland can change quickly effecting visibility and underfoot conditions. It is important to carry a selection of clothing with you on your hike each day to cope with changing weather conditions. If you are not confident of completing any days walk, do not set out.
This walking holiday in the UK operates April to September and in either direction.
These daily distances are only a suggestion. If you would like to walk longer or shorter distances, we can arrange that too.
Our stated distances include mileage to the accommodation or pickup point and so may not agree with the guide book mileages.
Rest days can be taken in any location.
Why not combine this walk with a hiking tour in another part of England or the UK. Our staff will be happy to advise on necessary transfers.

This 83 mile (135 km) way-marked walking holiday in Scotland on the Fife Coastal Path starts in the the town of North Queensferry by the famous Scottish Forth Rail Bridge on the banks of The Forth of Firth. From North Queensferry you walk along Scotland’s East Coast. The Fife Coast is famous for its beaches, castles, fishing villages and its stunning golf courses. The Fife Coastal makes its way to Dundee via Aberdour, Kirkcaldy, Leven, Anstruther, Crail and St Andrews the home of golf before reaching one of Scotland’s most famous rivers The Tay at Newport -on-Tay.
