Do you have comments or observations about the accommodations provided that may help us to improve our holidays?
On a walking holiday where you spend only one night (mostly) in any one accommodation, you expect variety – places are very different from one another, B&Bs, pubs, hotels. All those on this holiday were good in their own ways and we have no complaints. Some were better prepared for us as vegans than others.

Did your holiday come up to expectation?
Yes. We were happy with the organisation, accommodation and baggage transfer. We are vegan and got by everywhere, even if facilities were limited in smaller places (of courses). You might want to bear in mind that some pubs close their kitchens early on a Sunday – we were lucky that we got in just before the Market Lavington pub stopped serving food at 5pm!

Was the walking route as expected?
Yes. I doubt that many people walk the route end-to-end, as in parts it was overgrown or the way ahead unclear where arable farmers had planted across paths. There were also rather too many fields with herds of younger heifers or bullocks for our liking !

Were the guide books and maps helpful? How was the support?
No guide book is available for this route. The lamination of maps is a nice idea and useful when it rained unexpectedly on day 1. I disbound the spiral folder and only took the individual maps necessary for the day ahead.
